The Bardo Trophy is named after him. He is currently the only player in the entire league to record over 100 assists in one season, which he held in the 2009-2010 Season with 103 assists. Before retiring, Mike had over 50 assists in six of his seven seasons played. Mike finished with 444 games played, 151 goals, 467 assists, and 618 points.
Mike, before his retirement, was credited as the most "helpful and tactical" player, and was also credited with the Bardo Blitz, a term applied to Bardo on how 97% of his time spent on the ice, he always potted an assist. Mike also got points in 413 of his 444 games played over his seven seasons.
At the end of the 2014-2015 Season, Mike Bardo was joined by Nick Phillips for players posting over 100 assists; Nick beat Mike's record of 103 with 104 assists, including being the fastest player to reach 100 assists. Mike congratulated Nick on the honour, and was at the 1-0 winning game against Airdrie to present Nick the award. He will do so again at the Awards ceremony.
Analysts predict that if Mike Bardo retired at the end of the 2017-2018 Season, he would've finished with 1,000 assists.
