XI |
Chen Shijin is a player and captain of the Red Nukes. He is known for his competitive style of play, and his "knack" for scoring game-winning goals, which he currently holds the record for. Chen was the first Chinese player to play in the SHL, the only 100-point player on the Nukes, and one of leading "ironmen".
Chen captained the Nukes to two highly successful seasons; in the 2013-2014 Season they finished third overall with a 46-23-1 record, and the 2014-2015 Season where they also finished third, netting a 43-21-6 record, and heading to the SHL Cup finals for the first time, losing 4-2 in a series to Team X. The next season however, with the loss of Taoshi Kobasigawa, their goaltending efforts dramatically decreased, though Chen was able to captain them to be seven points within a spot, which they lost to the Crozac Cardinals. Despite this, he finished third in GWG, roughly 28% of the games they won.
