The Branton Nickels are one of the Original four teams of the SHL that started since 2003-2004. They are known for their widespread rivalry with the Black Blades in their own division, as well as them being the "Center of Silver" in which their fans commemorate.
Branton has achieved two conference championships, won during the 2007-2008 Season where they defeated Team X 4-3, and the 2016-2017 Season where they defeated the Scarlet Saviors 4-2. In the same season of 2016-2017, Branton defeated the Green Hornets 4-2 in the final to capture their first ever SHL Cup, after missing the finals for nine years.
